but as a material through which our relationship with ourselves and the world
can be explored.
Whether experienced individually or collectively, each work remains open to
individual experience and interpretation.

Maison Moemoea
is conceived, composed and led by Emma Winter,
a British multidisciplinary artist.
Winter’s wider practice explores perception, atmosphere and the emotional resonance of space.
Winter approaches each gathering as a complete artistic encounter,
with every element considered with care,
from the invitation and setting to the unfolding of the work.
Her approach to vibrational sound combines professional training with years of intuitive exploration, reflecting an enduring curiosity about the ways resonance can shape awareness and perception.
In each gathering, Winter works live and responsively. Soundscapes, field recordings, vibrational instruments, silence and an intuitive non-linguistic vocal landscape are woven together in response to the acoustics of the space and the collective presence within it.
