A 90 minute meditative sonic immersion
Developed through an artist residency immersed in nature,
SONIC GROUND began as a site responsive conversation between artist and landscape, shaped through listening, field recording and response.
Working live, intuitively and responsively, artist Emma Winter weaves those field recordings with vibrational instruments, silence and intuitive non linguistic vocal landscapes, allowing the work to evolve in response to each space and the people gathered within it.
Together, these elements invite a gradual shift from everyday awareness into deeper presence, creating space for inward exploration through sound.
An intimate SONIC GROUND gathering coinciding with the Full Moon.
Friday 28th August 2026
The Chalet, Hampton Court Road, TW12 2EG
Arrival from 6.45pm
SONIC GROUND 7–8.30pm
Strictly no late entry
WHAT TO EXPECT
SONIC GROUND is experienced primarily lying down in Savasana, although you are welcome to find any position that allows you to remain comfortable.
There is nothing you need to do or achieve. You are invited simply to settle, close your eyes and allow your attention to move inward as the work unfolds.
Come dressed for comfort, but feel free to make it beautiful. This is as much a gathering as an immersion, and you're warmly invited to dress with a little intention for the evening.
Yoga mats and blankets will be provided. Please bring an additional blanket, eye pillow or anything else you may need to remain warm and comfortable for 90 minutes.
Following the experience, you are invited to stay for herbal teas and conversation. Time is left at the end to gather, connect and allow the evening to unfold without the need to rush away.
Please arrive from 6.45pm
to give yourself time to settle into the space.
SONIC GROUND begins promptly at 7pm.
To preserve the experience once it has begun, there will be strictly no late entry.
LOCATION
The environments that we encounter are fundamental to our experiences within them.
Maison Moemoea gatherings are considered in their entirety, with space, light, material and sound coming together to create the conditions for exploring our inner landscapes.
For this gathering, SONIC GROUND inhabits The Chalet on Hampton Court Road, an extraordinary Grade II listed Alpine Swiss chalet, originally constructed in Switzerland and brought to the banks of the River Thames in 1882. Sitting directly beside the river, close to Hampton Court Palace and Bushy Park, it carries its own particular sense of place and history.

BY INVITATION
Our gatherings are shared privately through our Invitation List and personal invitation, rather than through public or social media platforms.
If you know someone who you feel would enjoy SONIC GROUND, you are warmly invited to extend the invitation to them.
To receive invitations to future gatherings, you can join the Maison Moemoea Invitation List here.
